An Interactive E-book
In this exciting hands-on workshop author Martha Hannah & illustrator
Larry Dowell lead students through fun theatre games, storytelling and
music to encourage them to visualize and write stories for interactive
e-books. This workshop encourages creativity and teamwork and builds
public speaking skills, presentation skills and confidence.
Ideal for students with basic writing and computer skills and for
educators as a staff development seminar.
Martha & Larry will teach the students:
What is an interactive e-book?
Visualizing and writing a story
Storyboarding the book
Creating a ‘style’ for the book
Adding & animating pictures and words
Adding music & sounds
Creating the author’s bio
Rehearsing & presenting the e-book
Students can become published authors Finished e-books can be published by the school or library
to an Internet or Intranet web site. Workshop Length
This workshop can be either a:
One hour introductory overview
presentation
One day intensive workshop
3 or 4 day workshop with showcase
for students to present finished work
